A Note About Changes in Processing your Registration and Membership

Thank you to those of you on the ATTW program and all of the ATTW membership for your patience as we’ve transitioned to our own membership and conference registration system on the attw.org site. In recent years, we’ve had Taylor & Francis handle membership, and we’ve used Eventbrite for conference registration. This offered some conveniences, but it also made signing up for membership, accessing and monitoring your membership, and renewing membership difficult. Additionally, each registration cost us a sizable transaction fee.

With our new system, you’ll pay your membership dues and conference fee directly to ATTW. This means that we can keep conference fees low, even as the cost of the event has risen. We’ll also be able to offer you more membership options such as receiving online only access to Technical Communication Quarterly.

This new system will make the process of keeping your membership status updated and paying for conference registration much easier and much more transparent.

Membership Dues

Membership lasts from January to December. Any membership dues paid after November 1 will be counted as membership for the next calendar year. Your membership includes:

      • A subscription to Technical Communication Quarterly (TCQ), a premier journal in our field
      • Coming in the future: members only access to ATTW archives

Note: If you were already a member by purchasing a TCQ subscription through Taylor and Francis, you should be able to update your member profile using your email address on file with the organization as both your user name and password (or use the forgot password function to reset it). If you believe your membership status is incorrect, send us an email at communications@attw.org.

If you are planning to attend the conference, you can register right from our website.

All those with a speaking role in the conference must register to remain on the program.
