I, too, am sitting here stunned.  I didn’t know Ty well but enjoyed her humor and perspective on life as we visited together at many conferences.

Life is short.  Do good.

Like Bruce, I’m stunned. And crushed. My graduate years centered around classes, lunches, happy hours, going to conferences, studying and learning to code with Ty, Joanna Castner Post, and Amy Hanson.

Joanna’s sudden death was horrible, and Ty and I talked about that typical topic of time passing too quickly at her funeral.

Ty grabbed life by the horns, and was always up for an adventure. She wanted to wring every drop of joy and fun that could be gotten from every day.

May she be loving her next big adventure—
