*Overview of eBook*

The connexions in international professional communication and design
(IPCD) eBook
(or eBook series) is an edited collection that emerges squarely from the
intersection of industry and academia.

For the first eBook, the editors seek chapters that address broad aspects
of a taxonomy of ideas assembled from the original connexions international
professional communication journal (2013–2018), as represented in the IPCD
network map <https://www.connexionsinipcd.net/cfc> in the Call for Chapters
(see full CFC below).

The editors of connexions international professional communication journal
invite
full chapter submissions for an open-access eBook (or series of eBooks) on
connexions
in international professional communication and design (IPCD). Fitting
the connexions
way,
the publication emerges squarely from the intersection of industry and
academia.

The first eBook will comprise the ten main sections in the IPCD network map
provided below [click here
<https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/33a7a8_ea0d44029fe2442e87f6441d00edf237.pdf>
for image when submitted to a listserv]. Drawn mainly from a taxonomy of
terms in the
connexions archive of past issues, these sections branch into
additional section
themes likely to frame the published chapters. To facilitate this outcome,
the editors welcome inquiries from authors working to develop full chapters
for the eBook.

The eBook will comprise original chapters that engage one or more aspects
of the IPCD network map provided above.

All successful submissions must approach IPCD by name as a cohesive yet
complex area of research and practice across industry and academia.

All manuscripts will undergo a process of double-blind peer review.

The editors will publish this free, open-access eBook under the
Creative Commons
Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC
BY-NC-ND 4.0) <https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/>license. This
means all authors retain copyright for their work.

*Target Audience*
The eBook's target audience is both industry and academia.

In line with the key sections and section themes covered in the IPCD network
map, the editors welcome perspectives that address trends, practices,
methods, and approaches that form work within industry and academia, and
between industry and academia.
