Dear ATTW Colleagues,

I’m am pleased to announce that my department just received approval to hire a visiting faculty in professional writing/business communication. Please circulate the following job ad to anyone you know who might be interested, especially recently finished graduate students.

Visiting Faculty of Writing. The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University seeks to fill a full-time (9-month) Visiting Faculty position beginning August 2018 to teach courses in business communication and professional writing. A Ph.D. in Rhetoric, Technical or Professional Communication, English (or related field) or ABD status is required by time of employment. Candidates need to have expertise and experience teaching business communication and/or professional writing, preferably in both traditional classrooms and computer labs. The teaching load is four courses per semester. Please see the Department of Writing website, http://www.gvsu.edu/writing, for details about our courses.

This position is a one-year non-tenure track with the possibility of renewal up to three years, depending on funding and need. This position is designed for candidates planning to seek permanent positions elsewhere. To help Visiting Faculty in their continuing job searches, we provide mentoring, research and conference travel support, and performance reviews.
