[ATTW-L] Announcing AELFE/TAPP Conference in Spain, 8-10 July 2020

For the 20th anniversary of the Trans-Atlantic & Pacific Project, ATTW members are cordially invited to participate in the 2nd quadrennial TAPP conference, hosted by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Barcelona Tech), 8-10 July 2020.


The TAPP conference will be co-sited with the 19th annual conference of AELFE (the Spanish acronym for the European Association of Languages for Specific Purposes). For one conference fee, you can attend the sessions of two conferences, with the shared theme “Multilingual academic and professional communication in a networked world.”

Please note that the deadline for proposals is 31 October 2019.

The conferences will take place at Barcelona Tech’s engineering campus, located not far down the coast from Barcelona’s airport in the seaside town of Vilanova i la Geltrú. Having visited there twice in the last six years, I can vouch that it’s an ideal conference venue, right next to the train and bus station and with the city center and Mediterranean beaches within short walks of campus.
