I’m continuing the announcement of faculty positions for AY 2020–21! The
English Department at Ball State University is hiring a full-time,
tenure-track assistant professor with a joint appointment in English and
Women’s and Gender Studies, *with a specialization in professional writing.*

*Description:* The successful candidate will teach 3 courses per semester,
typically two courses in rhetoric and composition and one course in
feminist theory. We are looking for a dynamic, creative faculty member who
can contribute to the WGS major and minor and to a major concentration and
a minor in Professional Writing.


*Minimum Qualifications: *A PhD in Rhetoric and Composition or related
field from an accredited university, with an emphasis on professional
writing and demonstrated expertise in gender studies, by August 2020;
record of scholarship in professional writing and/or gender studies
demonstrated by at least two referred publications either in print or
accepted for publication, and at least six semesters of part-time or
full-time college teaching experience obtained concurrently or at any time.


*Preferred Qualifications: *Experience teaching gender and/or feminist
theory and/or professional writing at the college level; dissertation or
publications linking gender theory to professional writing.
