Hello-

The University of Michigan's College of Engineering (CoE) seeks a Director
for its Program in Technical Communication (TC). The Program is dedicated
to teaching engineering communication, teamwork, and ethics to CoE
undergraduate and graduate students in approximately 170 different sections
of courses (engineering and stand-alone TC), and coordinating with
First-year Programs and all Engineering Departments. The administrative
appointment effort is 50% (9 months, September through May, with a half
time summer appointment June through August) and the teaching appointment
effort is 50% (9 months, September through May, which typically involves
teaching one or two courses during the academic fall and winter terms). The
position also carries effort associated with the expectation of creative,
innovative and collaborative contributions to the CoE administrative
offices, programs, and departments. This academic and administrative
leadership position reports to the Office of the Associate Dean for
Undergraduate Education in Engineering.  Total compensation for this
position including the summer months will be in the range of $100,000 to
