Friends in writing studies:

I trust you are keeping well in these uncertain times.

Since 2008, I've been teaching and directing the writing center at Westmont
College <https://www.westmont.edu/> in Santa Barbara, CA. Due to an
impending retirement, we are searching for *a tenure-track English
colleague who specializes in composition/rhetoric and/or creative
writing. *While
a PhD in hand is desirable, applicants who are ABD or who have an MFA plus
a significant publication and teaching record will be considered.

The anticipated start date is August 2022, and review of applications will
begin in September. Our English department is collegial and includes 7
other full-time, tenure-track faculty members.

For more details on our open position, go here
<https://www.westmont.edu/office-provost/open-positions> and scroll down to
select the "English" tab.

Questions about the position should be directed to our department chair
<https://www.westmont.edu/people/cheri-larsen-hoeckley-phd>, Cheri Larsen
Hoeckley (larsen at westmont.edu).

Kindly forward this information to other composition-rhetoric and/or
creative writing specialists who may be interested in applying.

Gratefully,
Sarah Skripsky
