Although this is not a tenure-eligible position, it is a continuing position with the opportunity for promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor. English: Assistant Teaching Professor in English to teach undergraduate professional writing, composition, and advanced writing courses; advise students; contribute to professional and institutional services. Position is not eligible for tenure and begins August 15, 2022.

Required: Ph.D. in English, Composition and Rhetoric, Technical Writing, or closely related field, by date of appointment. Experience in the teaching of writing in multiple modalities, exceptional pedagogical skills.

Consideration may be given to candidates who have experience in teaching Business Writing, First Year and Advanced Composition, Interactive Media Studies, and Technical Writing; ability and vision to help shape future curriculum in Professional Writing; experience teaching in multiple modalities, including online synchronous, asynchronous, and hybrid; ability to work well with others in a large, multidisciplinary department.
