[ATTW-L] Instructor Position Announcement: TCID Program at UCCS

Dear colleagues,
The Technical Communication & Information Design<https://tcid.uccs.edu/> <https://tcid.uccs.edu/> (TCID) program in the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences<http://las.uccs.edu/> at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a non-tenure track instructor appointment within the TCID program beginning in the fall semester of 2022. Minority group members, women, veterans, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
The instructor will teach a 4/4 load, including TCID 2080 (Business & Administrative Writing) and/or TCID 2090 (Technical Writing and Presentation) and other courses as needed to support program goals. We welcome applicants with the ability and interest to design and teach courses in technical communication fundamentals, UI/UX, editing, design, cross-cultural communication, and other topics as necessary. Minimum Qualifications

  *   A master's degree in technical communication (or related field) with 12 credit hours of graduate coursework in professional and/or technical communication.
Preferred Qualifications

  *   Evidence of successful in-person teaching in technical communication, professional communication, and related courses.
  *   Evidence of successful teaching with computers and other technologies.
  *   Graduate training in the teaching of professional and technical communication.
  *   Experience designing and incorporating service-learning opportunities
  *   Industry experience in technical communication.
Course format is primarily in-person, while hyflex and hybrid courses may be required as necessary. Qualified applicants will be able to integrate computer and other educational technologies effectively into the instructional process.
Instructional, Research and Clinical Faculty (IRC) hold 95% teaching / 5% service contracts. All TCID IRC faculty attend monthly faculty meetings during the academic year; these focus on professional development, university/college updates and campus business, program development, planning program events, and building community within our program.
