Good afternoon! Albion College is hiring a new Director of Writing
Consulting. It's a full-time, 12-month position, with a salary of
$65,000/year. Please see the information below, and let me know if you have

*Director of Writing Consulting*
The Director of Writing Consulting provides a diverse range of direct and
indirect writing support to students, faculty, and staff, including
managing the Writing Consulting program, providing direct writing support
to individuals and groups of students, and providing support to students on
academic status through the Albion College Engagement (ACE) program. This
position teaches 2.5 courses per year. Independent judgment is required to
plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and
confidentiality. Albion College is an anti-racist institution. The person
in this position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity in
all of their interactions with others on campus, especially historically
marginalized students, faculty, and staff (e.g., those who are historically
under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA, LGBTQ, and
BIPOC).

*Salary:* $65,000


*Benefits:*This position is eligible for full benefits including
health/dental/vision insurance, retirement, tuition remission, and campus
amenities including free on-site fitness facility, free parking, and access
to campus events/performances.

*FLSA Classification:* Salaried / Exempt / Administrative

*Full-Time/Part-Time:* Full-Time

*Position Duration: *12 months per year

*Qualifications*

   - Master’s degree in English or related field required
   - Three years experience providing academic writing support in a college
   setting required
   - Classroom teaching experience preferred, ideally in a range of
   writing-focused subject areas, including teaching developmental writing at
   the college level
   - Experience conducting workshops for faculty, staff, and students,
   along with knowledge of instructional and adaptive reading and writing
   technologies preferred
