[ATTW-L] #CFP: 2023 Writing Innovation Symposium, Writing As _____ (due 10/28 & 12/9)

Greetings, All -

The TL;DR: Writing As ____ the 5th Writing Innovation Symposium (WIS), is
slated for February 2-3, 2023 in person and online at Marquette University
in Milwaukee, WI. Undergrads, grads, faculty of all ranks and roles,
academic staff, and independent writers and scholars are welcome to apply.
Proposals for workshops and flashtalks are due 10/28; proposals for
posters, displays, and other creative work as well as applications for B/SM
Fellows are due 12/9. Notifications will be made in early November, and
registration will open in December, when conference modalities and health
mandates will be confirmed. For more: visit our online CFP

Further Details: Co-sponsored by Marquette University, Mt. Mary University,
and Bedford/St. Martin’s, Writing As ____ will be a chance to gather to
consider and discuss what it means to write in relation to ongoing
pandemics, including COVID-19, climate crisis, systemic racism, and
antidemocracy. We welcome proposals for:


   -

   75-minute workshops
   -

   5-minute flashtalks on topics including access, antiracist academic
   work, community engagement, embodiment, mentoring, & trauma-informed
   teaching and learning.
   -

   Posters, displays, and creative works that showcase different ways of
   writing as ____.
   -

   WIS Bedford/St. Martin’s Fellows, a funded opportunity to participate in
