The Department of English at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU)
invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the
rank of assistant/associate professor. The start date for the position is

The successful candidate will teach advanced undergraduate courses in
Writing Studies (e.g., cultural rhetorics, public rhetorics, digital
writing, technical & professional writing) both within the English
Department and a new major in Public Writing and Rhetoric; first-year
writing courses in MTSU’s General Education English Program; and
graduate-level courses that are part of the Department of English's MA and
PhD programs. The successful candidate will also have a leadership role in
expanding the writing curriculum and must maintain an active research
agenda within Writing Studies.
