Good afternoon, Teachers of Technical Writing-

A challenge for us this fall will be persuading our engineering and science students that they need to learn to write-even in a world with artificial intelligence programs such as ChatGPT. Presented in the following film is an argument for such learning<https://vimeo.com/850326621>. Please note that the ideas in this film arose from a Journal of Engineering Education editorial<https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/jee.20541> written by Professor Catherine Berdanier and me.

Please feel free to assign this film to your students.

Best wishes,

Michael Alley
