Interactive Design--a unique stand-alone Tech Comm department--is
hiring for not one, but <i>two</i> tenure-track positions as
Assistant Professors of Technical Communication.</p>

<p><font size="+1"><b>Assistant Professor of Technical Communication</b></font></p>
<p>Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a
nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Technical
Communication faculty position in the Department of Technical
Communication & Interactive Design, which begins August 2019.
Responsibilities will include teaching, scholarship, and service
in the area of Technical Communication. A PhD. in Technical
Communication or its foreign equivalent is required.<br>
<br>
<b>Job Details:</b><br>
The current typical teaching load is 3/3 and, as required, faculty
may teach courses in a variety of modalities including
face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Faculty are expected to maintain
an active research agenda as well as to meet service expectations
of the department, college, and university.<br>
<br>
Candidates should be able to teach technical communication classes
in the areas of digital accessibility, information architecture
and design, website and multimedia development, agile practices,
and other technology-focused areas. Candidates can also expect to
teach the introductory service-learning technical writing course.<br>
<br>
Commitment to excellence in teaching, complemented by strong
scholarship and engagement in service, program management,
curriculum design, and student learning outcome assessment is
expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and
Social Sciences.<br>
