<div>Ty was vivacious, smart, and generous. I would have loved to be a student in her class, any class. Before I met her, I heard that she was a mountain goat of a hiker, and I was sorry I’d missed that hike. </div>

<div>Years later, I ran into her at an airport in Canada (I think) and during a long chat she told me that she refused to use the electric hand dryers because for all that wasted energy, you still have to wipe your wet hands on your pants. Every time I wash
my hands and face down one of those machines, I think of her. <br>

Technical Communication and Rhetoric from Texas Tech University. She was always firing on all cylinders (a metaphor she would have appreciated as a racing enthusiast). She delivered to us incisive books and articles about intellectual property, ethics, social

and a world teacher, putting together students in Atlanta, Georgia, and St. Petersburg, Russia, as easily as she put together a syllabus.</span><span style="mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";mso-bidi-font-family:Calibri;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
