As Sam has suggested, this kind of writing offers great examples for analysis by technical communication students. This one provides remarkably accessible explanations from the point of view of an epidemiology professor for a general audience. But I think it
has added interest for us because he provides links to a number of sources, including scientific, governmental, and popular. The scientific sources allow us to see how the same information is framed for specialist audiences. The link the author provides at
the top of his blog post is equally valuable. He provides a brief bio which asks us to see him less as an expert than as a mediator of complex but vital information. Note that readers need to click on the graphics in the blog post, which will open them up.
Otherwise they don't make much sense. <br>
