<p class="entry-title post-title">I'm pleased to announce that the Association for the Rhetoric of Science, Technology, and Medicine’s (ARSTM) Article of the Year Award recognizes the most outstanding rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine-related article
published the preceding calendar year. Many of you work and publish in those areas, and articles in any peer-reviewed outlet are eligible to be nominated. The award committee is now accepting nominations for articles published in the calendar year of 2020!</p>

<p><strong>Submission deadline: Sunday, August 15, 2021</strong></p>

<p><strong>Criteria for selection include:</strong></p>
<ol>
<li>How well the article extends and/or enacts practical and theoretical knowledge related to the rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine</li><li>The article’s potential for cross-disciplinary fertilization and/or public engagement</li><li>The article’s potential for teaching future generations of rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine scholars</li><li>The overall quality of writing and thinking</li></ol>
<p>Nominations should be sent by someone well acquainted with the nominee’s work. Self-nominations are encouraged.</p>
<p><strong><br>
</strong></p>
<p><strong>The nomination must include </strong>a copy of the article being nominated.
<strong>Optionally</strong>, nominators may also include a cover letter recommending the article for the award (limited to two pages and providing a detailed rationale for the nomination).</p>

<p><i>Note: Lead authors who have won previously cannot be nominated again within 5 years.</i></p>
