Faculty will have the opportunity to teach courses as part of the University’s General Education program, support our growing undergraduate on campus and online bachelor’s degrees in English: Writing Studies, and collaborate with the university’s new Lombardo
College of Business to develop course offerings and programming for our shared students.<br class="ContentPasted1">

Responsibilities include teaching, advising students, scholarly work and department and university service. Teaching responsibilities will include business writing, technical writing, first-year writing and other courses in the Writing Studies program as well
as the possibility of graduate-level courses. Actual course assignment will depend upon departmental need and may include day, evening, weekend, and/or online courses. Classes should be conducted through multifaceted teaching strategies for face-to-face, web-enhanced,
or web-based classroom delivery. Faculty are expected, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement Article 4, to engage in professional responsibilities such as developing and updating curriculum, assessing learning outcomes for courses and programs, and participating
in department, college and university meetings and workshops.<br class="ContentPasted1">

The faculty member will have opportunities to teach in our graduate program in their area of expertise and to innovate courses in business and technical writing. There is also an expectation for faculty to mentor undergraduate students in scholarly research
and to establish a robust and sustainable research agenda that leads to peer-reviewed scholarly outputs appropriate for the discipline. Faculty routinely advise and mentor students in other high-impact practices, as appropriate. We are committed to antiracist
pedagogies and curricular interventions, and we seek a colleague who will contribute to facilitating constructive dialogues in the classroom and community to inspire responsible, socially engaged citizenship.</div>

Must have doctorate by January 31, 2023, for eligibility for reappointment to 2nd year. An official transcript must be submitted as proof of completion. If the doctorate is not completed by the specified date, the faculty contract will be terminated effective
