<p class="MsoNormal">Responsibilities include teaching ENGH 210: Equitable AI as well as our core undergraduate course in professional and technical writing (English 388). There may be opportunities to teach additional technical communication courses at the
undergraduate level. Annual appointments will depend on budget and performance. The incumbent may be asked to teach courses in person and/or in distance format depending on department needs.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Teaching responsibilities include:<o:p></o:p></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1">Teaching assigned courses in accordance with faculty expectations as outlined in the workload policy and George Mason faculty handbook;<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1">Typical instructional workload is 4 courses per semester, with the option to teach over the summer;<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1">Teaching modalities will include in-person, online, and hybrid courses;<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1">Teaching current tools and approaches to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related coding and architecture to humanities students for the purposes of studying and understanding ethical and equitable uses
of AI; and<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo1">Teaching practices in professional and technical communication current to contemporary discussions in scholarship and practice.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>
