<p class="MsoNormal">On behalf of the CCCC Writing and STEM standing group, I’m writing in the hopes of encouraging you to consider collaborating with us.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Fellow co-chairs Robby Nadler, Holly Shelton, Rebecca Chenoweth, Clay Walker and I are deeply invested in learning from our fellow scholars, including those who may not see “STEM” as their primary research area. We invite you to engage
with the group in multiple ways with whatever level of commitment is workable for you.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">First, if you are in Baltimore for the CCCC conference this week, it would be a pleasure to see new faces join more familiar ones at our standing group meeting on Friday (3:30-4:30 PM in meeting room 344) or dinner afterwards (RSVP to Rebecca
Chenoweth at <a href="mailto:r_chenoweth@ucsb.edu">r_chenoweth@ucsb.edu</a>). If you can’t make it on Friday, we are also planning to host a virtual planning meeting on April 21 at 6pm Eastern Time via Zoom (<a href="https://pitt.zoom.us/j/97884819159">https://pitt.zoom.us/j/97884819159</a>).<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">At both meetings, we will be helping to organize proposals for the 2026 CCCC conference in Cleveland and welcome your ideas. For example, we would love to help launch conversations that remix what counts as STEM through transnational, decolonial,
LGBTQT and intersectional feminist lenses; discussions that consider handcrafts like knitting and quilting in relation to laboratory craftwork; or those that blur boundaries in other exciting ways. For inspiration, you might consider consulting the list of
science-related panels that we have compiled, which is available <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1enZV1IWqcaewFc6BkNeVqe5BNS3-cN71IWJ7ShtXwzs/edit?usp=sharing">
