?This is very sad news. I knew Ty a little through ATTW and CPTSC. She was great to talk with and very generous with help and advice.

Subject: [ATTW-L] Sad News
Colleagues:
With a profound sense of sadness, I have to inform you that our Georgia Tech colleague, TyAnna K. Herrington, JD, PhD, Professor in LMC, lost her long fight with cancer.
Ty specialized in intellectual property law and international technical communication. Her books are in law: Intellectual Property on Campus: Students' Rights and Responsibilities; Controlling Voices: Intellectual Property, Humanistic Studies and the Internet; and A Legal Primer for Technical Communicators.
You can remind yourself of her productive career here: https://www.iac.gatech.edu/people/faculty/herrington
I will be in touch as I learn more about the memorial service or other events to honor Ty's memory.
Best regards,
Rebecca
