The University of South Florida is seeking applicants for multiple 9-month Visiting Instructor positions in the Department of English. These positions are renewable for three years and carry a 4/4 teaching load in professional writing, first-year composition, and/or literature. Our deadline for consideration is March 31. The Department of English at the University of South Florida seeks to hire multiple 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning visiting instructors to start August 7, 2019.  Teaching load 4/4 and renewable for up to 3 years.  Teaching responsibilities will primarily be in Professional and Technical Communication, Introduction to Literature, and First Year Composition. Courses are capped at 19 students. Salary is $40,000.

Minimum Qualification: Masters of Arts degree by start date, minimum three years’ experience teaching writing at the post-secondary level.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. or related terminal degree by start date, minimum three years’ experience teaching writing at the post-secondary level.
