I just wanted to share that my university, Tarleton State University is hiring an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) of Professional Writing and Rhetoric. This position, which carries a 4-4 teaching load, will be responsible for teaching advanced undergraduate and graduate rhetoric and professional writing courses as well as first year writing courses. The department is seeking a candidate who can teach professional writing and rhetoric courses broadly. Preference will be given to those candidates with specialization in writing in or the rhetoric of medicine, health, science, or technology. Here's the position announcement. Tarleton is located about 2 hours from DFW (from my front door to the drop off point of my terminal). You can be in Fort Worth in about an hour or so plus or minus. We're located in north central TX and the area is growing along with the university.
