ATTW is pleased to announce the 2024 ATTW Graduate Research Awards!


ATTW is committed to advancing the research of graduate students in
technical and professional communication. This award supports advanced PhD
students with defined research projects that contribute to the field of
technical and professional communication.


Up to two scholars will receive a monetary award of $500 to be used for
research expenses and/or to help defray the costs of attending the annual
ATTW conference. In addition, award recipients will be featured in a
work-in-progress panel presentation at the 2023 online ATTW annual
conference and honored at the ATTW conference awards reception. The
conference registration fee will be waived.


Preference will be given to doctoral students working on their
dissertations. Graduate student applicants may apply for this award and the
Amplification Award.



Application Details

Interested students should submit (as one *.pdf file):

   -

   a prospectus (no more than 2-3 single-spaced pages) that describes the
   current research project, its contribution(s) to disciplinary
   conversations in technical and professional communication, and plans for
   future work;
   -

   a description of how the award will be used to support the research; and
   -

   a current CV.



Completed applications should be submitted to ATTW Member at Large Dr.
Temptaous Mckoy at TMCKOY at bowiestate.edu by 11:59 PM PST on April 21, 2024.

Application deadline: April 21, 2024

Notification of recipients: May 12, 2024

ATTW Conference: June 10-12, 2024
