We welcome article proposals that can develop our understanding of
multimodality, UX design, and composition in light of emerging technologies
and ensuing theories, practices and methodologies. We envision this special
issue as bridging work done in composition, rhetoric, and technical and
professional communication and beyond through emerging technologies, so
scholars doing work in these areas are strongly encouraged to submit a
proposal.

Individuals and co-authors are invited to submit a *500-word proposal*, not
including references, that clearly identifies the critical discussions of
UX research and/or design studies relevant to the fields of composition
research and technical communication. Proposals should briefly provide an
overview of the projected article as well as its contribution to the
discipline.
