Hello,

Nominations for officer elections in the new Rhetoric of Health and
Medicine (RHM) Society are open until *February 1*. The full information is
available at this link <https://medicalrhetoric.com/societyelections25/> as
well as below (but let me know if you need a different format). Note the
opportunities for both faculty and graduate students.

As announced at the 2023 RHM Symposium, the process of formalizing an RHM
Society is currently underway. A basic Society framework was created in
2019 as part of the RHM Symposium’s evolution into a standalone nonprofit
entity that also encompasses the RHM Journal. As the next stage in the
organization’s evolution, an Ad-Hoc RHM Society Formation Committee was
formed in summer 2024 (members are listed below), and this Committee is now
pleased to issue a call for nominees for the Society’s first election.
Timeline

Nomination deadline: 1 February 2025
Candidates announced: 7 February 2025
Voting dates (online): 1-14 April 2025
We invite all who are interested in joining the RHM Society to participate
in this vote. Moving forward, voting will be limited to Society members.
