Visiting Assistant Professor position at Virginia Tech, to begin August
2019:

The Department of English at Virginia Tech invites applications for a
three-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Rhetoric and
Professional Writing to begin August 2019. Required: Ph.D. in hand by 1
August 2019 in Rhetoric & Writing, Technical Communication, or a related
field with the promise of significant research and publication, and
evidence of successful teaching. Preferred: publication in Rhetoric &
Writing and/or Technical Communication; ability to teach User Documentation
and Web Development; teaching/working with diverse
populations. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate
courses in Rhetoric and Professional & Technical Writing; serving on
departmental, college, and university committees; and advising
students. Teaching load is 3/3. Applications must be submitted
electronically at http://www.jobs.vt.edu, posting no. TR0190083. Attach to
the electronic application a letter of interest that addresses the
qualifications and responsibilities stated above, a curriculum vitae, a
writing sample (upload to ‘Other Doc’), and a list of three referees with
