[ATTW-L] 2020 ATTW Graduate Research Awards (applications due Feb. 10)

ATTW is pleased to announce the 2020 ATTW Graduate Research Awards!

ATTW is committed to advancing the research of graduate students in technical and professional communication. This award supports advanced PhD students with clearly defined research projects that contribute to the field of technical and professional communication.

Up to three scholars will receive a monetary award ($500.00) to be used for research expenses and/or to help defray the costs of attending the annual ATTW conference. In addition, award recipients will be featured in a work-in-progress panel presentation at the 2020 annual conference in Milwaukee, WI. The conference registration fee will be waived.

Preference will be given to doctoral students working on their dissertations.

Application Details
Interested students should submit (as one *.pdf file):

  *   a prospectus (no more than 2-3 single-spaced pages) that describes the current research project, its contribution(s) to disciplinary conversations in technical and professional communication, and plans for future work,
  *   a description of how the award will be used to support the research,
  *   a current CV, and
  *   a one-page letter of support from a faculty advisor who can confirm the graduate student’s status in the program and describe the project’s disciplinary contributions.
