DUTIES:
The Department of English at the University of South Florida seeks to hire multiple 9-month, full-time, non-tenure earning visiting instructors to start August 7, 2020. Teaching load 4/4 and renewable for up to 3 years. Teaching responsibilities will primarily be in Professional and Technical Communication, First Year Composition and Introduction to Literature. Courses are capped at 19 students. Salary is $40,000.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or related terminal degree from an accredited institution by start date, minimum three years’ experience teaching writing at the post-secondary level. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. or related terminal degree from accredited institution by start date, minimum three years’ experience teaching or training Technical Communication, and Professional Writing at the post-secondary level. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of instructor.
