Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the latest volume of Young Scholars in
Writing is now available. Volume 18 features eight articles, one spotlight
on first-year writing article, one comment and response piece, and two
methodological reflections, a new genre premiering in this volume. The
excellent pieces in this volume explore diverse topics such as the rhetoric
of the pro-choice movement, mental health literacy in literacy narratives,
Japanese internement in Alaska, language bias of lawyers, bilingual and
translingual pedagogies, embodied composition practices, visual rhetoric of
medical illustrations, Rosalynn’s Carter’s feminine style, and the
methodological decisions facing undergraduate researchers.

The digital version is live and available now at
https://youngscholarsinwriting.org/. This is a new website home for the
journal, and we encourage you to register on the new site to receive
updates and announcements. Additionally, we will post short interviews with
authors and other behind-the-scenes content related to each volume on this
site; those registered will receive notifications when new content is
released.
