Virtual Event: 21-23 October 2021
Submissions to IEEE ProComm 2021 virtual conference<https://connect.ieee.org/NzU2LUdQSC04OTkAAAF9cjr7nNcgXMAE-PrDcqcwakPexs8_H5px4wYxtwPmP6dsFfK97cUQeI5SIIUNG8UrIkevQUA=> due 1 July

The IEEE Professional Communication Society invites your participation in our flagship conference, IEEE ProComm, 21-23 October 2021.

We welcome a broad range of speaker topics related to writing and communication in technical and engineering contexts.

Call for Proposals<https://connect.ieee.org/NzU2LUdQSC04OTkAAAF9cjr7nBSYGZBiz9WdWWKmExiUiSrbvSalBNPNa2LUZnIWzBxFpXX_Ms76Il-K2BFNfUCTiWI=>

Are you a technical communications professional? A user experience designer? A communications consultant? A plain language advocate? A Scrum master?

Are you an engineer? Perhaps a student or young professional, or a manager or team lead? Do you find yourself doing more communicating than you thought?

Are you a writing and communications educator or administrator? A program director or education leader who oversees curriculum and accreditations?

Are you a researcher in technical communications, rhetoric, writing pedagogy, usability, user experience design, or a related field?

During this time of global crisis, we additionally welcome speakers who: 1) share experiences and strategies for communicating, collaborating, and connecting virtually and globally; 2) investigate the challenges, opportunities, and societal implications of communicating information about health and biomedical engineering, and; 3) reaffirm our commitments and share our best practices for building and communicating inclusivity, diversity, and equity in our workplaces, classrooms, and the world.

IEEE ProComm is a present-to-publish conference, with proceedings published in IEEE Xplore. Submissions can take the form of individual or multi-authored papers, panels, or workshops. We encourage you to explore the full Call for Papers at our ProComm 2021 website<https://connect.ieee.org/NzU2LUdQSC04OTkAAAF9cjr7nBSYGZBiz9WdWWKmExiUiSrbvSalBNPNa2LUZnIWzBxFpXX_Ms76Il-K2BFNfUCTiWI=> to determine the paper and presentation type that best suits the needs of your work.

Questions about the conference or submissions can be directed to IEEE ProComm 2021 Conference Chairs Alan Houser (arh at groupwellesley.com<mailto:arh at groupwellesley.com>) and Necia Werner (nkw at cmu.edu<mailto:nkw at cmu.edu>). We look forward to receiving your submissions by 1 July 2021!
