Hi all,

This story from Colorado Public Radio describes how some high school
students revised health/medical information forms used in schools. There's
an intriguing quote about how technical writing is frequently assumed to be
"colorblind" but ends up not being so.

I'd also argue that this is a good example of a plain language approach to
communication. The students observed that the target audience would not be
likely to understand the materials as originally written, and they
acknowledged the importance of decisions on health/medical topics. It does
not appear that they tested the documents with audience members as is
typical for PL, but they check a lot of other typical PL boxes, so to speak.
