For a timely discussion of ethics in technical communication, read Shell’s statement on Twitter explaining its “difficult decision to purchase a cargo of Russian crude oil” and committing “profits from the limited amount of Russian oil we have to purchase” to a dedicated fund for relief of the Ukrainian people (i.e., victims of a war subsidized by Russia’s oil revenues).
