Yes, this is SOP as Pam mentions below. I think UT Austin was one of the first to embed TWC inside of the College of Engineering.

I developed the STEM-focused TWC course at my small, teaching-focused institution through needs-based assessments with deans, department heads, faculty, and industry. I'd be happy to talk with you on Zoom about it.

Best wishes,
Alyson

Our tc department is housed in Engineering, so we do what you are describing as sop. I’d be happy to talk with you.

Following. Mine is considering a similar offering and for first years. I’d love to learn about what folks are doing / have done to make these accommodations.

Thank you

Hello everyone--

My department is thinking of offering some of our Intro to Technical Writing courses targeted specifically to our science-based/STEM majors on campus.

I'm having a hard time finding examples of universities that offer such a course. Does anyone know of/teach such a course at your university? I'm wondering what assignments would be in such a course?

Thanks! I appreciate your help.
