Dear Colleagues,

The team at the *Rhetoric of Health and Medicine* journal is excited to
announce a new annual award for outstanding work on the rhetoric of health
inequities, sponsored by scholar Cynthia Ryan in memory and honor of her
beloved friend and co-breast cancer survivor, Edwina L. Sanders.

A committee comprised of the award sponsor and the editors and board
members of *RHM* journal will select the recipient of *The Edwina L.
Sanders Award for Outstanding Work in the Rhetoric of Health Inequities*,
and awardees will receive a monetary award and a plaque celebrating their
contribution to the field that “contributes to pathways that could redress
health inequities, defined broadly.”
