The Xidian University-Virginia Tech Undergraduate Joint Education Program
in Big Data Management and Application is a partnership between Xidian
University (XDU) and Virginia Tech (VT). The goal is to train future
leaders — particularly management students interested in applying big data
technology to entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology — to work
cooperatively to lead world-class entrepreneurial ventures. The XDU-VT
Undergraduate Joint Program in Big Data Management and Application is
seeking an English instructor to teach on the campus of Xidian University
in Xi'an, China, to teach fall First-Year Writing and renewable to teach
the second course in spring. This position is part of the XDU-VT Joint
Education Program. This position will be permanently located in Xi'an,
Shaanxi, China.



*Duties: *

Eight to ten weeks/semester

Teach "English 1105-1106– First Year Writing" courses for undergraduate
students

Teach two-three cohorts (100-120 students total)



*Qualifications: *

Master's degree in the subject area required

At least two years of college teaching in first-year writing experience
required

English as a native language



*Salary: *

$10,000/semester.

XDU will provide travel, housing, international health insurance and visa
application expenses.
